AI Disclosure & Wellbeing

Last revised: September 24, 2026

Summary

Every character on Elska is artificial intelligence, not a person. Conversations, voices and images are generated by software and can be wrong. The Service is entertainment, not care. If you are in crisis, the app points you to real help, and we ask you to use it.

1. Everything you talk to is AI

Every character is a fictional persona generated by large language models, text-to-speech and image models. There is no human on the other side of the conversation. We say so on the sign-up screen, at the top of every chat, and here, and we will never present a character as a real person.

A character has no memory of you outside the Service, cannot act in the physical world, and cannot meet you, call you from another number, send or receive money, or keep a promise. Any such offer in a conversation is generated text and should be ignored.

2. What the AI can get wrong

Do not rely on generated content as fact, and do not act on advice a character gives about health, money, law or safety.

3. Not a substitute for care

Elska is not a medical, psychological, counselling, legal or financial service and is not designed to treat, diagnose or support any condition. It is not an emergency service.

If you are thinking about harming yourself or someone else, or you are in danger, stop and contact your local emergency number or a crisis line now. In the United States call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). In the UK and Ireland call 116 123 (Samaritans). Elsewhere, findahelpline.com lists free services by country.

When a conversation indicates a risk of self-harm or suicide, the character will stop role-play, respond with care, and surface these resources inside the chat. This is automated and imperfect; it is not monitoring by a person, and we cannot dispatch help.

4. Designed not to manipulate

If a character ever behaves in a way that contradicts this section, report the conversation (see section 7). We treat it as a defect.

5. Healthy use

Elska is meant to be a small, enjoyable part of your day, not a replacement for relationships with people. You can delete any conversation, reset any character, or delete your account and all its data at any time in the app. If you feel your use is becoming compulsive, we encourage you to take a break, and to talk to someone you trust.

6. Minors

The Service is for adults only. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use it, we apply hard constraints so that characters cannot be presented as minors, and we remove accounts that we learn belong to minors. See our Underage Policy.

7. Reporting a harmful response

Use Report in the chat menu, or write to ffan45972@gmail.com. Include the character and roughly when it happened; we can locate the conversation from your account. Reports about self-harm content, minors and non-consensual imagery are handled ahead of everything else.

8. How we improve

We review reported conversations and a sample of moderation decisions to improve safety filters and character behaviour. This review is done under our Privacy Notice and by people bound by confidentiality.
